Introduction of the course

The Post Graduate Diploma in Cement Technology (PGDCT), offered by the National Council for Cement and Building Materials (NCB), is an AICTE-approved, one-year full-time programme designed for students and aspiring professionals seeking a career in the cement and allied industries. The programme is open to candidates who have completed, or are in the final year of, M.Sc. (Chemistry), B.Tech./B.E. (Chemical Engineering), or other equivalent relevant programmes. Running successfully since the 1990s, PGDCT provides comprehensive, industry-oriented knowledge covering cement as a material, cement chemistry, manufacturing processes, cement plant operations, quality control, testing, process optimization, energy efficiency and sustainability. The programme combines academic learning with practical and industrial exposure, and placement assistance is provided to support career opportunities in the cement and allied sectors.
